“Behold, today is the day of the Resurrection!” A day like no other, the feast of feasts! Today and all during this week the doors of the iconostasis are kept open, visually showing us that heaven is available to us all!

God’s graciousness does not look upon our faults, but embraces our desire to be reconciled.
This feast is the most powerful witness of God’s goodness and the Holy Trinity’s desire that we be with Our Lord forever. It is the fulfillment of the promise that love shall conquer all. It is this faith and knowledge that has given energy to our predecessors in this parish who overcame immense obstacles to build and devleop our community’s life. Last year we celebrated that history and their efforts.

This year we mark the 70th anniversary of our branch of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada. In so doing, we honour and thank all the women of our parish who, over decades, have worked tirelessly to ensure that we not forget who we are as a Ukrainian community and who we are as a Church community. They have enhanced the life of our parish and they are a constant witness to us that we are also meant to serve the wider community. We thank them and honour all they have done.

“В цей святий великий день” ми радіємо даром спасіння котре одержали через смерть і
воскресіння нашого Спасителя. Ми радіємо многими дарами котрими Господь нас обдаровує. Як парафіяльна родина ми підношуємо радісну пісню подяки за ласку нашої громади – нашої Христової родини. Минулого року ми торжественно обходили 100-ліття нашої громади і 90-ти ліття нашого храму. Цього року (і в особливий спосіб ми це будемо робити на спільному свяченому) ми підношуємо молитву подяки членкиням нашого відділу ЛУКЖК котрі через останні 70 років були прикладом для всіх нас щирої відданості Господеві Богові, парафії та ширші громаді. Вони молилися, жертвували, і трудилися щоби наша парафія розвивалася та їхній труд приносить великий плід! Ми їм віддаємо нашу щиру подяку бо ж вони служать нам як приклад перемоги любови і добра над всіма труднощами та слабостями!
