The Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada (UCWLC) is the official association of lay women of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. It was organized nationally in June 1944. The Kitchener branch was formed in 1947.

The aims of the UCWLC are to develop and enrich the religious and spiritual life of each member. This strengthens the Ukrainian Catholic Church. It also preserves and develops Ukrainian culture. The UCWLC brings awareness to the needs of the family, local community, and country. Additionally, it initiates and supports programs of charitable action.

The UCWLC has existed for many years as a self-sustaining, non-political, non-profit, charitable organization. During this time, it has supported and enhanced the concept of church community. Proceeds from its fundraisers have consistently gone to further the church community’s goals. They also assist other organizations, both locally and abroad.

Our role as nurturers (in a global sense) has continued to bring women together in working toward a common aim. We welcome women of all ages to become a member of our Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League.
